In recent trips to the dentist and eye doctor, each had obvious investment in generating awareness of services not traditionally covered by insurance. For example, <A HREF="http://www.jimcarson.com/2006/12/my-arms-arent-long-enough/" REL="nofollow">the eye doctor</A> had prominent displays outlining LASIK procedures whereas my dentist had something created by <A HREF="http://www.jimcarson.com/2005/10/the-smile-channel/" REL="nofollow">The Smile Channel</A> featuring five minutes of Dentist 101 for each ten minutes of cosmetic dentistry.<BR/><BR/>Even my "regular" GP has started putting displays in the lobby for various supplements.
