Why London's streets stink

I vacationed in UK four years ago, and noticed some of London's streets were quite stinky. Now I know why - according to a report, 95% of Britons had urinated, vomited or defecated in public because no toilet was available. Although London first public lavatory was built in the 12th century, and public bathrooms has multiplied in the past, the current toilet shortage situation will get worse before getting any better.

That makes perfect sense!! Myabe you find a study with the explanation of why Venice stinks too. I am starting to think that it may not solely be related to the cannals...

Brilliant!!! I did notice a strange smell when I visited a few summers ago. The 95% statistic seems somewhat high though... I honestly couldn’t see 95% of the people I saw there while visiting, urinating or defecating in public. Has the city stated anything about their plans of attack on this problem?

Interesting. Kuala Lumpur doesn't stink but our public toilets aren't much to rave about. Hi!
