I will not be surprised if Islam in the fastest growing religion in the US, or anywhere else.

1. Everybody born into a Muslim family is automatically a Muslim.
2. No Muslims are allowed to renounce their religion. (Not recognized by the mosque.)

"2. No Muslims are allowed to renounce their religion."

Once someone decides to leave a religion for another one or none, there is nothing anyone can do about it. Saying they can't leave would be like me declaring everyone on earth is panthiest and no one can do anything about it.

Interesting post. The comments by Mike and khengsiong are also noteworthy...khengsiong is correct in stating that Muslims are not allowed to renounce their religion - one who does is considered an apostate and is subject to death in some Muslim lands. But everyone is born into the religion of their family...the problem is that Islam does not appear to recognize that one may choose to worship in a different way as he or she gets older. As for Mike's comment, unfortunately, there IS something someone can do about a Muslim choosing to leave Islam for another religion...just check the news reports of the price paid by Muslims for doing just that. It's a sad commentary on how many people view religious duties. Bilbo.

interesting. I didn't realise there were still so many Christians out there. Certainly doesn't feel like it in my neck of the woods.
