I don't pay much attention to economists (sorry, professor Ashenfelter), but this wine quality calculation is interesting...I'd be curious to know how he derived the constant figures. In my own case, before I married Agnes, I chose wines by reading the label - if it had a nice picture of a castle or a beautiful lady on it, I figured it had to be good. I think I've learned a bit more since then.
